We built Data Pilots for online training businesses specifically — because every deal they lose to a silent trust gap is a team that doesn't get developed, a leader who doesn't grow. We remove that barrier.
"Online training businesses are losing corporate deals silently — not because their work isn't good, but because trust gaps nobody checked are standing in the way."
Data Pilots is building a trust panel for online training businesses selling to corporate clients. One place to see what buyers check, get the right people fixing what's flagged, and track progress until the gaps are closed.
We chose this audience deliberately. Their work doesn't stop at revenue. When they win the right clients, better leaders get developed, stronger teams get built. That matters to us — which is why a silent trust gap stopping a good deal is worth solving properly.
You built something worth trusting. Data Pilots gives you the full picture — and your team the path to act.
Two people who've spent their careers on both sides of the trust problem — and built Data Pilots to close the gap between them.
Toni has spent her career on both sides of the problem Data Pilots solves. She started in marketing and business — building brands, websites, campaigns, and representing global brands — across technology, beverage, fashion and beauty, and sports. Her path moved between marketing and law, beginning in consumer protection, before she returned to law school and focused her legal career on privacy and security.
A DC-licensed attorney, CIPP/E-certified privacy professional, and former Big 4 advisor, Toni has worked internationally with businesses from early-stage founders to global organisations. She is also a federal and state bar CLE instructor and adjunct JD professor, training specialists and translating complex compliance into things non-expert teams can act on.
Kara is a tech-driven leader and legally trained privacy expert with over a decade of experience in privacy, cyber, and risk management across global organisations and multiple industries. She brings the technical depth, legal understanding, and operational execution that turn the company's trust-and-growth thesis into a product businesses can actually use.
Focused on ethical data practices and building trust, Kara leads product and privacy operations — bridging technical, legal, and real-world application. Her work has spanned multiple jurisdictions and industries, shaping programmes that operate at scale without losing sight of the people data is meant to protect.
As CEO and the public face of Data Pilots, Toni leads how the company shows up — from speaking and writing to partner relationships and the communities we're building alongside this work. When you see Data Pilots at events, in workshops, or on stage, that's usually Toni.
That visibility doesn't reflect contribution. Kara's fingerprints are on every part of how the product thinks and works. The two roles are different by design.
Data Pilots was built to reflect what we believe: that the best outcomes happen when growth and compliance share the same picture. That's how we run the company, and it's what the product delivers to the businesses who use it.
Data Pilots is guided by an advisory network of experienced founders, operators, investors, and subject-matter experts who have been actively shaping the build from the early days. Their input runs through product, pitch, and strategy — giving a small team the benefit of a much larger one.
Advisor names will be shared as we move through launch. If you're building in this space and think we should know each other, get in touch.
We're building Data Pilots alongside a growing network of partners — not competitors. They're the people we call on, learn from, and build with. Businesses get better answers, faster, because of them.
Our community roots run through the professional associations and networks that matter most in privacy, security, and the learning and development sector. These are the communities we're part of, learn from, and contribute to.
If you lead or facilitate a community that works with businesses on trust, privacy, or growth — we'd like to talk.
